Nicolette reels from Aaron telling her that he slept with Logan, who has Hepatitis B, hiding a major health crisis from her. Kiri encourages her to show compassion to Aaron.

Leo counsels Aaron not to feel guilty for seeking connection and urges him to forgive himself for trying to navigate a life without David. Aaron is warmed when Nicolette and Kiri show up at the hospital to support him.

As Aaron apologises for not being upfront, Nicolette offers her own apology for her harsh judgement, reminding him that she'll always have his back. Later, Kiri expresses how proud she is of Nicolette for showing emotional consideration towards Aaron and can see she has grown as a person.

As Nicolette and Kiri profess their love for each other, the couple's new chapter is looking stronger than ever… but when alone, Nicolette adds Aaron's Logan drama to the written record she has been keeping of his behaviour.

Meanwhile, Holly and Heath enjoy their steamy liaisons and Heath basks in her appreciation of his lavish car, house and lifestyle. After Tess spots Heath engaging Toadie's services, Heath admits that he bought the Hawaii property they were looking at as a surprise for them.

As a furious Tess dresses Heath down for drawing attention to himself and using a lawyer that is close with Lassiters, Heath is left thoroughly in the doghouse. Keen to be bolstered by Holly's enthusiasm, Heath tells Holly he wants to see her again.

Sadie is keen to get the gossip on Holly's new hot guy, but Holly quickly shuts the subject down when Mackenzie joins them. After Mackenzie reveals that Heath is a new client at Rebecchi Law, Holly privately reveals to Sadie that Heath also happens to be her mystery man.

Although Sadie cautions against heating up with a colleague, Holly insists she's got her eyes totally open and is going to keep having fun.

Elsewhere, Toadie is worried when Terese notes Melanie is uncomfortable around them, but relieved when Terese assumes it's due to their upcoming anniversary party. Melanie uneasily goes along with it to protect Toadie's confidence, seemingly putting the fire out.

Terese confides in Susan that she's considering changing her surname to Rebecchi, while concerned Karl urges Toadie to speak to someone about his troubles.

When Terese broaches the change of name with Toadie, he covers his unease with feigned enthusiasm, but Karl sees through it, urging him again to seek help. Toadie places a call asking Rhonda for an appointment, but he doesn't want Terese involved.

Tuesday
Unable to shake her suspicions, Mackenzie does some sleuthing on Heath after she discovers he's going by two different names. She reveals her findings to Toadie and Krista – Heath Silverson was convicted of fraud.

Concerned, Krista brings this information to Tess, who feigns shock before lashing out at Heath for drawing attention to himself.

They come up with a story and Heath delivers it to Krista – explaining he was an unwitting accomplice in a dodgy deal. But Krista still worries that he's untrustworthy and Tess challenges her to give Heath the benefit of the doubt – just like people have done for Krista many times in the past.

When Heath crosses with Mackenzie, he charmingly issues a veiled threat for her to back off – leaving Mackenzie thrown by the exchange.

Meanwhile, Cara is working on her latest uni assignment, and when coding proves to be tougher than anticipated, Remi and Dex pick up on her anxiety. Remi encourages her to have faith in herself as Dex can't help but feel concern for his mum.

Wanting to help, Dex decides to secretly work on her assignment and when Haz drops by, Dex asks him a tech question to ensure success. Haz helps him out, but can't help feeling suspicious as to what Dex is up to.

When Cara returns home and she wants to re-proof her work,an anxious Dex enlists Remi to help him convince Cara to just send it off. She does, none-the-wiser that her son has redone her work.

Elsewhere, JJ spots Nell practicing her karate moves and offers to step in, hoping to repair their friendship. In the course of their conversation, Nell reveals that her mum used to own a nursery, but shuts down when JJ queries why she hasn't been there in a long time.

JJ persuades Nell to accompany him to the nursery, and he helps when Nell has an emotional wobble. As they enter, Nell's shaken to find the place run down and abandoned.

Also today, Toadie and Terese continue to plan their wedding anniversary party and the prospect of Terese changing her surname to Rebecchi, though it's apparent Toadie is growing increasingly uneasy.

Unbeknownst to Terese, Toadie has started counselling sessions with Rhonda Del Rubio. He confides in Rhonda about his recent inner turmoil and reminders of his past loves, and explains that he feels like he's drowning.

Wednesday
Taking in the wasteland that her mother's former nursery has become, Nell is overcome with anger and upset. When she returns home and reveals what she has found to Toadie, she and Terese are shocked to discover Toadie has known for a while that the nursery is in disrepair.

Toadie reveals they've been struggling to find a new tenant and the agent wants him to lease the space as something other than a nursery, but he can't. Terese is hurt that Toadie felt like he couldn't talk to her about this, and despite Toadie's reasoning, struggles to get her head around it.

Later, Terese confides in Susan, expressing her concerns. A supportive Susan understands that anything to do with Sonya would be a sensitive subject, but offers to help with the clean-up of the nursery if they would like it. But both Karl and Susan are concerned about being in the middle of this growing tension between Toadie and Terese.

Meanwhile, as Wendy's mentorship ceremony arrives, Andrew makes it clear to Wendy that he will support her no matter how she chooses to approach her acceptance speech. When Quinn acknowledges Wendy's uncomfortable position, Wendy admits she feels unfairly burdened to have to put herself on the line to call out others.

As Wendy takes the stage, she has a change of heart and improvises a short, gracious speech. While it leaves her torn on whether she should have spoken up for herself, Quinn offers that the best statement she can make is to take every advantage the mentorship gives her.

Later, having noticed her mum's growing connection with Quinn, a curious Sadie probes her mum's friendship. Wendy admits she's glad to have made a close friend who she feels is on her wavelength.

Elsewhere, Dex is stung when he spots Nell and JJ talking closely, with Nell finding comfort in JJ's kind friendship after her nursery shock. Dex accepts JJ's explanation that Nell needed a friend, with his mind also preoccupied with a more pressing problem.

After Cara is gobsmacked to receive her first High Distinction, Dex is initially privately thrilled with his secret efforts to help her. But when the Varga-Murphys celebrate at Harold's, Haz's suspicion twigs when he discovers the high grade was a programming assignment.

Knowing he has been busted, Dex pleads his case and begs Haz not to say anything. But Haz's conscience wins out and he confides in Remi about what Dex has done. When Cara bounces in on a high after signing up for an advanced coding module, Remi decides to keep the truth a secret, for now.

Thursday
Paul makes an unexpected return to Erinsborough, which rattles Tess and Heath. Wanting to keep Paul distracted from being too concerned with their agenda, Tess makes him a tantalising offer – an opportunity to buy out the Sinclairs' share of Lassiters and restore him to full ownership of the hotel.

When Krista and Leo later speak of their confusion regarding Tess's true purpose in Erinsborough, Paul doesn't mention the offer to them, and instead quickly shakes hands with Tess.

Even if it means causing employment upheaval for Krista and potential conflict with Leo, Paul wants what he believes is rightfully his. But when Paul later meets with Leo and Krista, it's revealed that all three are playing Tess.

The trio are certain that she's up to something, and while Paul will pretend to stab Krista and Leo in the back for Tess' benefit, they're all going to keep their eyes and ears open to discovering what Tess and Heath's true game plan is.

At the same time, Sadie catches a clandestine kiss between Heath and Tess. Concerned for Holly, Sadie relays the moment to her. Holly buries her hurt to pretend that Heath's other romantic partner doesn't impact her or their casual relationship.

When an angry Holly confronts Heath, he attempts to level her anger by offering expensive gifts – and a tempted Holly finds herself channelling her mother. She's happy for Heath to see other people, as long as he makes it worth her while.

Meanwhile, when Aaron makes a speedy exit after witnessing a loved-up Nicolette and Kiri, a concerned Kiri wonders whether the sight of the two lovers together is a painful reminder of David's loss, as the foursome used to be a tight unit before the break-up. Aaron denies Kiri's concerns, but later admits the sadness it causes him to a more dogged Nicolette.

A delicate resolution is reached as Nicolette promises to ease up on the romance in front of Aaron, while he makes an oath to try and be more present.

Also today, a shocked Cara receives word that the university is investigating her for academic misconduct over her most recent assignment, which forces the guilty Dex to come clean over his involvement. Cara lets loose at her son for his interference, though Remi suggests Cara's anger really stems from embarrassment that she needed help in the first place.

A remorseful Cara makes peace with her son – who is also consoled by Haz – and resolves herself to the impending fallout. She'll have to be honest with the university and await the consequences.
