Monday
Unaware that Wendy is hiding the extent of her secret life from Andrew, Cara comments that she thought Andrew would be more upset by Wendy pretending to be single at uni. Realising just how far Wendy's ruse has gone, Andrew is left hurt and shaken.
Although Wendy tries to downplay her actions as a silly game she played to fit in, Andrew assumes she would have kept up the ruse if she hadn't been busted.
Wendy desperately wants Andrew to understand that her lies had nothing to do with her feelings for him or Sadie. But when Andrew challenges Wendy to get to the truth of the matter, she admits she enjoyed living in a different reality. All Andrew hears is that in Wendy's dream life, he and Sadie don't exist.
Wendy's left fearful for the future of her marriage when, past midnight, Andrew hasn't come home and she's unable to reach him.
Meanwhile, Dex vents to JJ, hurt that he's been lying to his face and asks whether JJ deliberately gave him bad advice. JJ vows he would never sabotage Dex's attempts to win Nell over and will never act on his feelings, but their argument is cut short when Nell returns, confused by the uncomfortable energy.
Later, Dex loans Nell his manga but deflates when he notices her focus is on his brother. However, JJ gently turns down Nell's suggestion to walk to school together, and she's left bemused when Dex also makes an excuse.
When JJ explains he was trying to give Dex space to spend time with Nell, an annoyed Dex argues he can't make a move now as that would make him the jerk, pursuing the girl his brother likes. With neither of them happy, JJ is left full of regret.
Elsewhere, Toadie is overcome with emotion at the crumbling nursery when memories of Sonya come flooding back. Unable to bear it, he pulls out of helping Cara rebuild the sunroom in his old home at No. 30 and decides to keep the nursery to save Sonya's legacy. He offloads to Karl about how these reminders of his past relationships keep coming back to haunt him.
Karl encourages him to talk to Terese about his feelings, but Toadie continues to leave his wife in the dark, informing her that the business is doing just fine.
Also today, Terese encourages Susan to take the afternoon off with Karl for some alone time. When her plans to head home are thwarted by Toadie inviting an oblivious Karl to the nursery, she makes a rash decision to bring the alone time to work. Stripping off in Karl's treatment room, Susan waits for her husband to arrive… only to be sprung by a shocked Moira, leaving Susan mortified!
Tuesday
Terrified that Andrew has left her, Wendy makes a scene at the police station, only to realise that Andrew has been kept working late. Confronted with the depth of his wife's fears, Andrew agrees to hear Wendy out and is moved by her explanation. Although he's still hurt, he assures Wendy they'll be okay in time.
In the midst of her own tertiary education lie, Cara overhears Wendy discussing her relationship mistakes to Aaron and takes caution from them. Cara reluctantly tells Remi the truth. But when Remi is unbothered by the secret and supports Cara's move back into education, Cara pushes her away.
Aware that Cara is insecure about her perceived intelligence, Remi follows her to uni and hypes her up. Shy, Cara accepts her wife's praise – and the fact that she might actually be okay at this uni thing after all.
Meanwhile, Nicolette is desperate to impress Leo and Kiri at their first event together but struggles to find a babysitter for Isla. Having been prompted by Mackenzie to consider if her feelings for Nicolette have changed since learning the truth of what happened with Sasha, Kiri offers an olive branch, urging her to bring Isla to work.
Over the course of the event, the ice thaws between Kiri and Nicolette, culminating in a spark. Is there a second chance for these former lovers?
Elsewhere, Krista comes off the high of a loving celebration with Leo… and is plunged into a disaster of Brett's making at the hotel. With more guests than they can handle and no Brett in sight, Krista scrambles for a solution, only to be undercut when Brett finally returns.
Pushed to her limit, Krista snaps and fires him… leaving her with egg on her face just in time for Tess Carmichael to make her surprise return to Erinsborough.
Wednesday
After the success of their first event together, team Yorokobi is asked to submit a pitch for an exciting new 'Melbourne Experiences' tour. Leo is unsure they'll pull something together in time, but is impressed by Nicolette and Kiri's synergy as they pull together a killer concept.
Finally feeling hope for the future, he proposes they make their co-partnership official. Celebrations ensue as the others confirm their commitment. However, when Krista sees the trust Leo is placing in his new co-partners, she confesses the secret she has been keeping for Byron.
Meanwhile, Krista is struggling under the pressure of running Lassiters with Tess Carmichael looking over her shoulder. Given the task of recouping the enormous costs of Brett's booking disaster, Krista breaks down to Leo, who swoops in with the idea to bring Lassiters into the restaurant's tour pitch.
Bolstered by his support, Krista manages to impress Tess, not realising that Tess may be in town for her own reasons.
Elsewhere, Mackenzie's excitement at winning her court case is tempered by Haz's well-meaning concern that Toadie has been absent as a mentor lately. Then, when a shock job offer comes from a huge law firm, loyal Mackenzie determines there is no way she can accept it – Toadie is family.
When she and Haz attend Toadie and Terese's dinner party, Toadie apologises to Mackenzie and promises to be more present at work, making her feel more confident in her decision to turn down the job of her dreams.
Thursday
Byron's excitement about his first official day on the job as co-owner of Yorokobi is short-lived when a furious Leo confronts him about sabotaging the potential investor. Leo ends their deal without even giving Byron a chance to explain.
Devastated, Byron apologises to Nicolette about involving her in his mess, but Nicolette admits her upset has more to do with no longer being in Kiri's orbit.
Byron goes to Kiri, revealing Nicolette's feelings and urging Kiri not to let his mistake stand in the way of the spark they still clearly have for each other.
Kiri, encouraged by Byron's plea, joins Nicolette and Isla for their promised trip to the beach. The mood is fun and relaxed, giving Nicolette the courage to finally admit her truth. She asks Kiri if there's a possibility she might give them another chance.
Kiri confesses she wants to, but she's hesitant until Nicolette tells her she misses Kiri and wants her back. Before gets any further, Kiri interrupts her with a kiss. Her feelings are very much mutual.
Meanwhile, Krista is still on tenterhooks with Tess as she waits for word about whether she's landed the big tour package for Lassiters.
A curious Holly fishes for information from Tess, who acts cagey in front of her. Krista urges Holly to keep her distance from Tess – she's Reece's eyes and ears and any mistakes could mean Krista is sent back to the States.
Melanie is also concerned, promising Tess she has nothing to worry about, as Krista is a changed person and fully capable of managing the hotel. When Krista gets the news that she's secured the tour package deal, Tess is genuinely thrilled.
Krista takes the opportunity to connect with her father's former right-hand woman, and it works. She tells Tess all she wants is for them to find a way to work well together and Tess is on the same page. As long as Krista meets her targets, Tess will have her back.
Also today, when Toadie inadvertently finds out about Mackenzie's job offer, he goes to her and she promises him she's turned the offer down. But when she also admits she's not happy, it's a wake-up call for Toadie, who promises to help her chase her ambitions at Rebecchi Law.
It also makes Toadie realise how much he's been drifting, both professionally and personally and he reveals to Terese that he's determined to do better. But when Melanie confesses her realisation that they were never meant to be together, Toadie is thrown and once again left feeling off-kilter.
