Leela contacts the midwife for advice after realising that she hasn't felt the baby move for five hours.
Joel falls asleep while comforting Leela and she eventually decides to head to the hospital without him. Leela is devastated when she receives the news that her unborn baby has died.
A traumatised Cleo tries to fight off Abe as he continues to attack her with the bouquet that she caught at Leela and Joel's wedding.
Abe manipulates the situation by trying to downplay the seriousness of his actions. Cleo stands firm and challenges Abe on his abusive behaviour, but they're interrupted when Leela calls from the hospital after struggling to reach Joel.
After returning from the hospital, Leela and Joel try to face a new day.
Marie, Peri, Daniel and Ste are all unaware of what has happened, but Leela and Joel later start to reach out to their loved ones for support.
Marie gives Joel some advice, but Ste feels helpless when his money-smuggling operation with Warren stands in the way of him supporting Leela.
Freddie reflects on being apart from Lexi when he overhears Scott talking about Vicky's recent reunion with her dad Donny. He visits Grace in prison, admitting that he can't wait any longer to make contact with his daughter.
Freddie follows Lexi from school and is shocked to discover that his brother Robbie is now the young girl's foster parent. He's furious about Robbie keeping secrets from him like this.
Freddie tells Mercedes about Robbie having custody of Lexi.
Mercedes sees Robbie spending time with his niece and calls him out for his secretive behaviour. Robbie refuses to apologise and warns Mercedes to back off.
Freddie heads back to the prison and clashes with Grace over the children.

Martha initially shows up for a meeting with James at the law firm, but when she crosses paths with Sienna, it seems they have a connection.
Show bosses recently announced the return of Jeremy Sheffield to the cast, this time playing Patrick Blake's identical twin Jez. Martha is the mum of Jez, who'll play a key role in the big story to come.
Sienna is surprised to find out that Rafe left her money in his will, as there was no mention of this after he died.
Sienna, Dilly and Liberty team up to find out what has happened to the missing inheritance. Before long, the penny drops and Sienna storms into James' office to accuse him of stealing the money.
Sienna chains herself to Dee Valley Law and refuses to leave until James pays her the money that she's owed. However, Sienna finds herself being arrested on suspicion of assault when James' hand gets trapped in the door.
Later, Sienna's day improves when Liberty reveals that she's selling the Love Boat. Sienna is part-owner of the business, so can now expect a big payout which she can put towards her children's education.
Frankie supports Charlie at work and decides to confide in him about her upcoming dance audition.
Charlie promises not to tell anyone, but JJ spots them talking and is clearly jealous over their connection.
